About Us
We’re Kahli and Leo, the team behind Wild Alpine Image Co.
We’ve built a life around exploring the outdoors, capturing wild places, and sharing that love with others. Originally from Australia (Kahli) and England (Leo), we met in 2009 and have spent the last decade traveling, working, and falling in love with the Canadian Rockies.
In our personal time, you’ll find us in the mountains hiking, snowboarding, and discovering new trails. When we do stay inside, it’s usually to plan our next adventure over hot tea and chocolate.
Journeying toward our own exchange of vows in New Zealand, arranging everything ourselves from the heli to our cake, our flowers and even the paperwork, taught us the value of intimate and completely personalized celebrations. This is a perspective we carry into every couple’s story we capture.
We keep things simple, focusing on capturing the real, unpolished moments that define your day. For us, it’s about weaving your story into the wild beauty around us, letting the mountains, light, and open spaces play their part naturally. The result? Images that feel authentic and effortless - just like the experience you shared.

What makes us, us?
Adventurous wedding and elopement photography certainly isn’t new and if anything is becoming more and more popular. That said, we believe there’s a few things that sets us apart.
We Eloped
We eloped in a remote, heli-accessed part of New Zealand long before photographing weddings together was even a thought. Knowing the intricacies of an adventurous elopement first-hand, we’re able to guide you with insights that only come from having done this ourselves.
Area Knowledge
We know these mountains in all seasons. From hidden sunrise summits to untouched wildflower meadows, we show you to the most breathtaking, secluded spots - places few others know. Our goal is to help you experience the Rockies in a way that feels personal and private, with a setting as unique as your story.

Kahli’s expertise as a landscape and astrophotography instructor means she knows how to capture nature’s grandeur in a way that truly does it justice. Kahli
Co-Founder, Photographer & Creative Director
Kahli is the Aussie component of the team! She exists to be outdoors and has a fantastic, contagious no-nonsense approach to life. With a background and education in graphic design and photography, she’s a natural behind the camera.
Kahli continues her own photography business working primarily shooting landscapes and with clients such as National Geographic Travel, Parks Canada and Travel Alberta, high pressure shooting conditions combining people and Mother Nature are all in a day’s work.
She is passionate about teaching others to get the most out of their time outdoors and is able to contribute to the photography community through her photography workshops all over the world from Iceland to New Zealand, Scotland to Canada and her personal favourite, Antarctica!
Leo
Co-Founder, Photographer & Logistics Director
Leo is the British team member! His perpetual patience and experience with helping people in the mountain environment are what makes the day feel relaxed and laid back.
With a background in the education, certification and management of snowsports professionals he’s a wizz when it comes to helping others succeed. A bit of a legend on a snowboard, he’s worked on mountains around the world and represented New Zealand internationally on snow in Bulgaria of all places.
Whilst an inbuilt compass keeps him moving in the right direction, Leo has honed his skills behind the camera over the years under Kahli’s guidance and has developed his own unique style along the way.
