Bridal prep and Father-Daughter First Look at the Juniper Hotel
We arrived early to join S as she and her bridal party prepared for the day ahead with the soft glow of the sun rising over the Bow Valley in Banff National Park. Staying at the amazing Juniper Hotel, they enjoyed the quieter side of town on this Saturday morning in the peak of Summer. As the morning progressed, the anticipation was building and it was getting close to S having her first look with her father. We set things up for the father-daughter first look on the roof of the building to get a slightly elevated feel, cleaner backdrops all whilst staying close to their room.

Meanwhile, over at the Ptarmigan Inn, M and the boys were cracking the beers and getting stuck into their morning of catching up and getting set for the day ahead. The energy in the room was contagious! With time to share a gift with his groomsmen, share some jokes and laughs and even draft in an emergency groomsman pants repair from Mum, the time flew by. Before long we were packing up and heading away into Banff National Park for his first look with S.
First Look at Cascade Ponds in Banff
We settled on Cacscade Ponds as a first look location as it’s only a short drive and has some great variety for photographing in different directions. With plans in place we set things in motion and the rest was for these two soulmates to soak up the experience and enjoy seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day.
The bridal party came along to join in on the fun and allow for some time to capture some shots together.
Outdoor wedding ceremony at Mt. Norquay
As we neared the ceremony time, guests started to arrive at Mt. Norquay and the excitement grew. With everyone on site, it was time to get the procession underway and let these two share their exchange of vows under the Summer sun in Banff National Park.
After the ceremony, M & S planned for some time to get some shots with their family and friends before really unwinding for the evening. We took advantage of some incredible light and conditions at Mt. Norquay to breeze through the photos, even having a moment to steal away for some wildflowers close by for some more intimate moments together.

Before long, it was time to move in for dinner and let the evening unfold from there. The food was incredible and it was lovely to see the room alive with connections between old friends and new, all here to celebrate the love M & S share. With dessert on the table, some incredibly heartfelt speeches resonated around the room with a fitting toast from the best man to round things off.
Dance the night away in Banff National Park
After the speeches, everyone was itching to hit the dance floor and with some beautiful first dances to start things up, everyone joined in and danced the night away! We even managed to sneak a little private outing with M & S to really round off a magical end to their night with a beautiful look over their hometown of Banff at night.
