Summer Backyard Wedding in Banff National Park

Banff National Park, with its stunning vistas and breathtaking landscapes, has always been a dream destination for couples looking to tie the knot in the mountains. This summer, we had the incredible privilege of capturing a backyard wedding that perfectly encapsulated the magic of Banff.

Getting Ready for Their Wedding in Banff

The day began with a sense of anticipation with the guys at Banff Park Lodge and the girls at the family home in Banff. Each, with their closest friends and family, spent the morning getting ready for their special day together in the mountains, Before long, it was time for their first look and the bride had a little surprise in store for the groom, by sneaking their dog, Hudson, in to join in on the action…it was amazing to watch! We also had some more intimate time to capture some classic wedding party portraits.

Intimate Backyard Ceremony in Banff

The ceremony took place in their beautiful backyard, a setting that felt both personal and spectacular. The couple exchanged vows beneath a delicate arch adorned with flowers, with the towering peaks of Banff looking over the proceedings. It was an intimate affair, attended by close family and friends. The simplicity and elegance of the backyard setting was complemented by some tasteful music from Two Bit Bandits.

Wedding Photos at Cascade Gardens

After the ceremony, we headed to Cascade Gardens for the wedding photos and some portraits. The gardens, in full summer bloom, offered a vibrant and picturesque setting for their family photos and some time to catch up with their guests before cocktail hour kicked off.

Reception at Banff Park Lodge

The celebration continued at the Banff Park Lodge with a lively cocktail hour with lots of laughter and stories shared. Guests then enjoyed a delicious meal, heartfelt toasts, and danced the night away right in the heart of Banff National Park.
