Getting ready at Solara Resort
For a luxurious and relaxing pre-wedding experience, the Solara Resort in Canmore is a fantastic choice. Known for its modern suites and top-notch amenities, it’s an ideal place for a wedding party of any size to prepare for the big day. Spacious rooms, full kitchens, and cozy fireplaces provide plenty of space for hair, makeup and family and friends. One added benefit is the location on the outskirts of town, still close to everything you need and a short and scenic drive to your ceremony and photo locations.
First Look and Wedding Party Photos at Engine Bridge in Canmore
These two leaned on our local knowledge for a first look location close to their hotel so they didn’t have to drive anywhere. This kept things simply and free flowing, reducing stress so they could focus on their intimate experience together. After their first look, they headed to Engine Bridge for their wedding party photos, spanning the Bow River with panoramic views of the surrounding peaks.
Summer Wedding Photos at Lake MInnewanka
A short drive from Canmore, Lake Minnewanka is a must-visit location for summer wedding photos. It’s a pretty versatile location and very accessible. We love the variety of photos possible and despite being a very busy location, it’s easy enough to steal away from people for a quiet moment together.
Outdoor Summer Wedding Ceremony a Tunnel Mountain in Banff
After some couples photos, it was time to head over to Tunnel Mountain Reservoir for their outdoor ceremony in the heart of Banff. This is one of our favorite ceremony sites in the Bow Valley with amazing views, a level of privacy not found in other public spaces thanks to requiring a paid reservation and it is easily accessible for those that need it. Look at those views!
Summer Wedding Reception at Mainspace in Canmore
After a day filled with love and adventure, we headed back to Canmore for a quick stop for an evening photo before the sun dropped and then headed to their evening reception venue, Mainspace.
The open concept is perfect for hosting dinner, dancing, and heartfelt toasts, and these two had a wonderful evening…it was a joy to be a part of the plans.
