Exchanging vows at Moraine Lake in the Canadian Rockies

When couples decide to get married or elope at Moraine Lake, it’s usually because they’ve seen a beautiful photo before and it’s easy to see why when you set eyes on this place! What we love about this particular celebration is that these two actually met at Moraine Lake and built their lives in the Rockies together since. We can’t honestly say there’s a bad time to view this incredible place but with a love for the outdoors themselves, these two booked their stay at Moraine Lake Lodge and crafted their own intimate elopement, their way and it was amazing. Their day unfolded from an intimate outdoor ceremony on the lakeshore of Moraine Lake with their closest family and friends as witnesses. A personal touch to their day was to have K’s brother officiate for them.

After they made things official, K & N, took a few moments together with us to capture some lakeside photos whilst the weather was behaving and then we headed back to the lodge for a quick recharge. With some pre-prepared lunch to stock up on, everyone was getting excited for the afternoon hike ahead. At this time of year, there’s really not many “easy” hikes that give you the larch season experience like Larch Valley. Here’s some of the highlights!
