These two hit the jackpot with the conditions and were treated to a surreal approach flight with the mountains lighting up in front of their eyes!

For that reason, the best sunrise landing zones are chosen based on elevation, orientation, and how the first light interacts with the surrounding peaks.
For this elopement, we selected a high alpine landing zone with uninterrupted sightlines and layered mountain ranges stretching toward the sunrise. As the sun rose, the peaks transitioned from cool blue tones to warm gold, creating a dramatic but natural look and it’s always amazing to watch the faces of our couples in awe throughout.
This particular morning provided some low clouds and every changing light which meant for some quick feet and lots of movement as we explored the area.
