Sky Bistro Banff Gondola Winter Wedding

Getting ready in Banff National Park for their winter wedding

J & D chose Banff for their winter wedding and spent the morning getting ready, keeping the mood relaxed and really setting the tone for their special day ahead. With close family and friends close by, they had all the support they needed to prepare for their day to unfold. It had a really intimate vibe from the moment we stepped in to join them for some early getting ready photos.

Once they were ready, we coordinated a departure to Lake Minnewanka so they could enjoy some quiet time together and their first look. We took to the trees and allowed them the time and space to immerse themselves in the experience and it was beautiful! We spent some more time enjoying the rolling weather on the shore line and capturing some cozy winter moments together.

With some of the early nerves out of the way, it was time to make our way to the Banff Gondola to get ready for their elevated, mountain top ceremony. The guests started arriving for cocktail hour and with warm drinks in hand, there was plenty of time for catching up with family and friends before the ceremony. With guests taking their seats, it was time for their winter wedding ceremony in the sky.

With the ceremony behind them, it was time to settle into their evening as a newly married couple. Everyone enjoyed drinks with a delicious dinner, followed by J & D’s first dance together, before inviting guests up to join. The evening flew by and the Sky Bistro team did a wonderful job hosting this magical wedding.

Wedding After party at High Rollers in Banff

J & D had pre-arranged to continue the celebrations in Banff with their guests at High Rollers. With a huge selection of beers, great cocktails and ten pin bowling with a party atmosphere, it is an amazing after-party venue for everyone! J & D had a blast and capturing these memories was a lot of fun!
