Getting Ready at Home in Banff National Park

As a couple of Australians, now settled as Banff locals, they wanted to center their celebrations around their love of their home town in Canada. Not only that, they wanted to be able to share this day with their families back home in Australia with live streaming and some intimate and memorable photos. Everything from some homely details to the grandeur of the Canadian Rockies, it was important to be able to share their journey and life they have built together in the mountains.

Outdoor Elopement at the Banff Gondola

With a relaxing morning in town, it was time to make the short drive to the Banff Gondola with their close friends in tow. With C heading up in front to make sure everything was set up, B finished getting ready at home before uploading the gondola to join her husband-to-be. C ensured that the livestream was in place and with a beautiful sunny day, the scene was set for an intimate outdoor ceremony.

After the ceremony, there was champagne, family facetime chats and charcuterie boards galore. C & B had planned a fun filled day that involved enjoying their favorite parts of Banff National Park as newlyweds. With a private gondola ride down the mountain, it was off into town for some photos at the gardens.

Summer Wedding Photos at Lake Louise Ski Resort and Summer Gondola

After some photos with the iconic Banff Avenue and Cascade Mountain in the background, it was time to drive out to Lake Louise Ski Resort and Summer Gondola for a scenic chairlift ride. Once at mid mountain, it was a short stroll around the flower filled meadows, impressive views over Lake Louise and of course, an afternoon drink at Whitehorn Bistro. The weather was incredible and these two soaked up every minute in good company with their closest friends.

Wedding Day Bowling at High Rollers in Banff

On the return to Banff from Lake Louise, C & B took the time for a quick change out of their wedding attire at home. With plans in place to go for a game of ten pin bowling, it was downtown to High Rollers with their friends for some more drinks and fun! As the game drew to a close these two said their goodbyes to their friends to continue on with their celebrations together back at the top of the Banff Gondola.

Sunset Elopement at the Banff Gondola

C & B returned to the mountain tops to the Sky Bistro for a private, intimate dinner. This was their slice of their day for some personal time to enjoy each other’s company. We had made plans to join these two so they could steal away from their table as the light turned at sunset for some final photos. Once the sun dropped, we said our goodbyes too and left these two to enjoy dessert to cap off their fairytale elopement in Banff National Park.

It was such a pleasure to be a part of C & B’s intimate celebrations in Banff. We know personally just how important it is to be able to share aspects of our lives with our families back home through photos and videos and to be able to help these two adventurous souls share their story with their own families was very rewarding. We can’t wait to see what’s next for these two at home in the mountains of Banff.
