Summer Wedding at The Fenlands Meadows in Banff
Banff is the perfect backdrop for your summer wedding plans! No matter the size of your guestlist, there is a venue and location for every type of celebration, you just have to know where to look! These two took a rollercoaster of a journey and had to redesign their day in light of the fires affecting Jasper and scored some classic, summer sunshine in the heart of Banff National Park.
Getting ready at Banff Rocky Mountain Resort
These two prepped for their special day at Banff Rocky Mountain Resort spending time with their respective bridesmaids and groomsmen for a relaxed morning together. When they were ready, we could sense the nerves rising a little as we approached their first look.
First Look and Private Vows in Banff National Park
We stepped outside into the ground and found a secluded, natural lane in the forest and gave these two the time and space to share their first look. It was pretty special and full of emotion as these two embraced and we could feel the tension drop. They exchanged private vows in the quiet of the woods and it was magical!
Intimate Wedding Photos at Lake Minnewanka
Before long we set off to Lake Minnewanka for some memories in the mountains in this iconic location. Despite the regular busy crowds on a summer day, we toured the shoreline and made our way to a quiet space for some more intimate photos. We took advantage of breaks in the clouds and waves of visitors for some spectacular portraits against one of our favorite peaks, Mt. Inglismaldie.
Wedding ceremony at The Meadows in Banff
With a short walk back to the car, these two enjoyed a little more time together before rejoining their wedding party and guests for their ceremony at The Meadows at the Fenlands Centre in Banff. When we arrived, everything was set up and ready to go. We took position and enjoyed documenting this heartfelt ceremony in the heart of Banff National Park.
We love weddings right at home here in Banff and as you can tell from the stories we’ve had the pleasure to share, there is no right or wrong way to celebrate. These two crafted their day to share their story of their morning, an intimate glance at their love for each other with a first look and private vows, along with some mountain photos before their ceremony. With no desire to capture their evening celebrations, this was their perfect day and an approach to planning that we’re always proud of. This is your day, not ours, your photos, not ours and whilst we can highlight some pros and cons along the way, help with advice and suggestions, we ensure that no decisions are made under our influence. It is all yours to enjoy and that is the way it should be!
