W & M reached out and talked with us about their plans and they stole our hearts! These two were planning to celebrate their 10 year wedding anniversary. Not only that, they wanted to renew their vows and do so at the place they originally got engaged. A decade later, with kids being looked after at home, they flew away to the Rockies to continue to celebrate their love for each other in one of their favorite places…Bow Lake.

We met these two at the car park, along with the ever adventurous Cole Hofstra as their commissioner. We enjoyed the short walk together to the lakeshore and had M get set up for the ceremony. With everything ready to go and  some amazing weather keeping us all warm on this beautiful day in early October, W “walked the aisle” to stand by the love of her life. What followed was a very personal and meaningful ceremony between W & M as they both shared their own personal vows with each other. After the ceremony, we spend some more time with W & M enjoying stories of their years together and what dreams lay ahead of them. With some more time for photography, we soaked up the afternoon sun and the final colours of Fall.

Bow Lake is such an amazing place to visit and well worth the drive for those staying in Canmore, Banff or Lake Louise. Perfectly accessible for most family members and an area of incredible natural beauty, feel free to check out a little more of Bow Lake and it’s neighbor Peyto Lake with a light dusting of snow from the colder months in this engagement session.

This truly was a very intimate and personal way for these two to celebrate 10yrs together and we’re grateful to have shared this with them. We hope you enjoyed the highlights!
