Spring Wedding in Banff National Park at Two Jack Lake
Outdoor wedding ceremony in Banff National Park
We drove to Banff from Canmore on this particular morning and made our way through 3 curtains of rain as we approached M & T’s chosen location, Two Jack Lake. They arrived with their closest family and friends and brought an air of excitement with them. We set up for their intimate ceremony as the sporadic rain drops lessened to nothing. After they had exchanged vows, they arranged for a beautiful picnic from Le Fournil to enjoy with some family photos.
Wedding boat cruise on Lake Minnewanka
After lunch, we made our way to Lake Minnewanka for their private boat tour of the lake. The weather cleared up beautifully, with unusually calm waters and incredibly clear views. They shared stories and drinks as we sailed around the lake, taking advantage of any opportunity for a photo. It really was a unique and fun way for them, along with the guests to simply sit back and take in the scenery with maximum enjoyment and minimal effort. Having disembarked, we spent some time getting a few photos on the lake shore before continuing on with the adventure.
Wedding photos at Vermilion Lakes in Banff
With Lake Minnewanka disappearing in the rear view, we drove to some more scenic spots for some more photos to celebrate their time in Banff National Park. We ended on a high with some elevated views over the townsite and the weather really brightened up with sunshine breaking through, making for some unforgettable memories!
We loved everything about M & T’s day together and it was proof once again that there really is no blueprint for any wedding or elopement. They brought together the things they love to do, with the people they love to spend time with. If you are in need of more inspiration for you intimate elopement, check out this elopement at Tunnel Mountain reservoir and if you prefer to see things in winter, check out this intimate wedding at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.
