Spring in the Rockies can be such a rollercoaster with the weather conditions and the week prior to this incredible celebration was no exception. We saw all conditions; heavy rain, bluebird days and a fresh dump of snow all before A & D arrived in town. We were excited to catch up with these two in our home town of Canmore to capture their special day together in the mountains.

Blackstone Mountain Lodge Wedding

A beautiful sunny day met us in the morning and we got all set up for a big day out behind the lenses. The morning started at Blackstone Lodge in Canmore with the lovely team from Lilies & Lace Beauty Co. setting up for hair and make-up. We spent our time capturing some intimate moments with 3 generations joining in the fun.

With the pre-ceremony shenanigans wrapping up, it was time to enjoy a luxury ride to the Canmore Ranch with AM PM Limos. The driver, Larry looked as smart as they come to chauffeur the whole family in a few shuttle runs. Finally it was time for our amazing bride to enjoy her turn in the limo and make her arrival.

Cornerstone Wedding Ceremony at Canmore Ranch

Sunlight poured over The Canmore Ranch, which Christian and his team with Cornerstone Weddings, had done an amazing job of setting up an intimate arrangement for the ceremony. With Ha Ling Peak dominating the skyline, the stage was set for an incredible wedding ceremony in the Canadian Rockies. The weather held out and gave these two all the time in the world to share their personal vows in the presence of their closest family and their wonderful commissioner, Patrick Smiley.

After the ceremony, it was time for the whole family to hop in the limo and enjoy the sights as we toured around Canmore in style. The mountains hold a special place in A & D’s hearts and it was amazing to see them enjoying every moment throughout the day. We took the time to visit a couple of locations on their “must see” list as well as somewhere a little less known to them to ensure they got the full Canmore experience.

As the evening approached, we made our way to Cornerstone Theatre for the reception. The theatre looked amazing and set the stage for the grand entrance before an incredible meal and celebrations to come. This really was a beautiful way to end a perfect day for these two adventurous souls. We had such a great time being a part of their day and are looking forward to catching up again soon.
