Intimate Sunrise Elopement at Lake Louise

Outdoor elopement ceremony at Lake Louise

Visiting Lake Louise makes it onto everyone’s bucket list for the Canadian Rockies and it is easy to see why! This easily accessible lake has some of the best views around, not to mention those beautiful turquoise waters to complement the scene. T & Q made their decision to elope, with their parents by their side under the very hike that they had their first date on. Beating the crowds by getting up before the sun rose, they had the lake shore to themselves on this summer morning. They enjoyed having the time and space to share this moment with close family and get some family photos too. Their ceremony was perfect and for a location that is usually brimming with visitors, it was enjoyably quiet and private.

Private vows at Peyto Lake

With the more official part of their day behind them, we had arranged with T & Q to exchange their own personalized vows with each other in another location each. After marrying in a traditional red gown, T opted to change into a white dress for the rest of their day and we made our way toward the Icefields Parkway for the spectacular drive to Peyto Lake. We hiked to the viewpoint and as we were still early in the day, these two got the place to themselves. Q had decided he was to read his vows to T and it was incredible…what a way to share the moment!

Summer wedding photos at Bow Lake

After Peyto Lake, we made the short drive to Bow Lake so that T could read her vows to Q under the close watch of Crowfoot Mountain. Once again, these two found themselves to be the only two people on this side of the shore line which allowed for some intimate time to enjoy the experience together. After their vows, we walked the loop trail along the shore line and back to the cars, taking some more scenic photos along the way.
