Fall Canmore Wedding at The Sensory
Getting ready at Blackstone Mountain Lodge
If you didn’t get a chance to experience it for yourself, the Rockies had an incredible Fall season this year. Most of our Fall couples were prepared for snow but got a pleasant surprise instead, with warm sunny days and this wedding day was no different. H & P wanted to celebrate with their family and friends in the mountains and crafted their own perfect day. We caught up with them in the morning to join them whilst they were preparing for their day ahead. With a buzz of excitement in the air, these two finished getting ready before setting off for a first look.
First Look at Spring Creek Bridge
We kept things as discrete as we could at the ever popular Spring Creek in Canmore. H & P shared their first look together and took advantage of a quiet moment to grab a couple of photos before joining their family at Engine Bridge for some family photos.
Banff Wedding party photos at Lake Minnewanka
With some early nerves behind them, it was time to set off to Banff, enjoy the sights and get some more photos in the mountains of Banff National Park. We were joined by the wedding party too so H & P could get some photos together. They really wanted to make sure they had all of their portrait style photos done before their reception so they could take that time to be with their guests, some of whom had made the journey from Vietnam to be with them that day.
Canmore wedding reception at The Sensori and sunset wedding photos in Canmore
Before long, we headed back to Canmore to regroup with their guests at The Sensori. It was set up beautifully by their family and friends in the time they were gone and with the natural light pouring in through those expansive windows, it was transformed. As day turned to dusk, we stole away for some golden hour photos to give H & P some final time together before the evening continued. After an amazing meal, the speeches flowed freely, some fun and games were had and finally it was time for their first dance.
