Lake Louise Winter Wedding at The Post Hotel
Winter Wedding at Lake Louise with Canadian Rockies Wedding Photographers
K & J crafted their perfect day in the depths of Winter with Lake Louise in mind as their location of choice. They stayed at The Post Hotel in Lake Louise Village and kept their fingers crossed for fresh snow for their special day. As the day approached we went over the final details together and excitedly looked ahead with snow storms in the forecast.

As their day arrived, Lake Louise was a winter wonderland and real life snow globe. It couldn’t have been more perfect conditions for their wishes of a wintry, snowy wedding together. We enjoyed a relaxing morning with some getting ready photos before heading out onto the Post Hotel’s famous courtyard ice skating rink. Our bride stepped right out the back door onto a carpet of fresh snow on the rink and looked like a scene straight out of a fairytale. Having enjoyed their intimate first look, we took off to Lake Louise itself for some pictures together to take advantage of the beautiful conditions.
Indoor Lake Louise Wedding Ceremony at the Post Hotel
When we returned to the hotel, we had planned to take some time whilst guests were arriving to take some quiet photos in the incredible wine cellar that The Post Hotel is known for. It was wonderful to spend so much time with these two on their day and see their excitement build towards their ceremony. With the library set up and guests in place, the procession was underway and what followed was a warm, toasty, firelit ceremony in the presence of their closest family and friends.

After the ceremony, cocktail hour was enjoyed by all with laughter and stories shared around the room. As we approached dinner we had made plans to steal away one last time for a couple more photos in the hotel itself and a more special and unique photo outdoors in the falling snow surrounded by silence and the dark closing in. With the temperatures dropping, we worked quickly and captured the dream image for our couple to represent their winter wonderland experience together. It wasn’t long before heading indoors and letting the evening unfold with an incredible dining experience.
Getting married in Winter is an amazing experience. Nothing compares to the silence you can experience in falling snow in the mountains and these two loved every minute.
